What is our legal basis for processing? With respect to personal information that is subject to the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (the GDPR), our legal basis for collecting and using your personal information depends on the type of personal information and the purpose for which we collect it. IDO processes personal information with your consent (e.g., when IDO processes personal information to provide goods and services you request, such as a IDO publication to which you subscribe). Where we transfer information from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland, as the case may be, to a country that doesn’t provide an adequate level of protection, we’ll only do so where it’s necessary to perform a contract with you or under appropriate safeguards to protect your information, like standard contractual clauses.
